Specter looked at Obama's approval ratings and dutifully fell into line on the spendulus bill. Now Senator "not proven" is feeling the heat for that vote. His poll numbers in PA are tanking; among Republicans.
To counter this we are now treated to tall tales of brave, brave Sir Arlen. First we hear that many other Republicans wanted to vote yes on the package but who lacked our hero's intestinal fortitude. That hasn't worked so now we are being told that the situation is far more dangerous then our itty-bitty brains can comprehend as we are on the verge of a depression. Hey Arlen, if there is some information out there that you haven't shared, now might be the time. Or do we not have the right to know ??
There have been rumblings that Specter will face a primary opponent next year. Possibly Pat Toomey. My plea to Pennsylvania's GOP: do the right thing and retire this ass-hat!! Even if the GOP nominee loses in the general election at least you'll have a real Democrat instead of a poseur.
