Team USA open hockey tourney with a win

3-1 over the Swiss. With the first US goal coming from Cherry Hill, NJ native Bobby Ryan.

The thing that stood out -- very, very sloppy play. Hands of stone in front of the Swiss net, too many defensive breakdowns and very weak goal given up by Ryan Miller. Of course it may have something to do with very little time to play together; we'll see how Canada looks against Norway. But they will definitely have to tighten things up if they want to compete for the gold. Fortunately, they get what should be another tune up game against Norway next.
