Obama prohibits armed pilots

The Obama has determined that it is no longer permissible for pilots to be armed inside the cockpit. This Washington Times editorial suggests that the reason is that Obama is an ideologue. This seems right.

First, as the editorial notes, this was done secretively. Clearly the administration believes the public would disagree with this decision on the merits.

Second, there is no rationalization for this policy. If the pilot can't be trusted than he shouldn't be in control of the damn plane in the first place. The Times is right; this is naked ideology.

We always knew deep down that Obama was a gun-grabber. Just never thought he would reach into the cockpit.
